Manyawar Kanshiram Institute of Tourism Management (MKITM), Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, signed an MoU with Utopia Ville Pvt. Ltd. (UPVL) on 6th August, 2024, to conduct training programs, skill development, and capacity building for various stakeholders in rural tourism, including homestay owners, local guides, tourist escorts, and rural tourism coordinators.
The MoU was represented and exchanged by Mr. Manish Kumar, Director of UPVL, and Ms. Eesha Priya (IAS), Secretary of MKITM.
UPVL, founded by alumni of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad, is a dynamic organization dedicated to revitalizing rural communities through sustainable development initiatives. Both founders have over 14 years of experience working at the grassroots level with rural communities, including in rural and tribal tourism, rural homestays, and responsible tourism. UPVL believes in leveraging modern technology to preserve the rich traditions and culture of rural India. Its vision is to reinstate the lost glory of the village, ensuring a prosperous and sustainable future for rural communities.
